The BURNED iN Crew
Name: Paul Lilly
Position/Duties: Owner/Founder
Background: Paul is a Boston sports fan who still dreams of one day suiting up for the Boston Celtics. In the meantime, Paul has chosen to spend his time covering the fast paced world of technology and has built up an extensive resume as a freelance writer. His work frequently appears in Maximum PC magazine and on Maximum PC's website, and he has contributed content to several other prominent technology portals. As one of the founding fathers at BURNED iN, Paul, for better or worse, finally has an outlet to do things his way. And yes, that should make you nervous.
Name: Matt Page
Position/Duties: Co-Founder
Background:Matt's experience with computers started with the loading Oregon Trail on to an Apple IIs from a 5.25" floppy disk, back in elementary school. His interest continued as he took several programming courses through high school and college years. But the tinkering in his free time has led him to be more of a hardware geek in recent years. Matt has also been a police officer for more than a decade and, outside of his time with family, he spends much of his free time gaming, tinkering with PCs and writing hardware reviews. Now he gets to put his focus in to making BURNED iN the hottest tech site on the web.
Name: Franco Santa-Maria
Position: Editor
Background: Franco's young blood combines a wide range of computer knowledge with intense photography skills to turn out some kickass reviews here at BURNED iN. Currently attending the Missouri University of Science and Technology, he is majoring in Computer Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. When he's not doing homework, studying for a test, or working on a computer, Franco also enjoys pursuing his other recently picked-up hobby, cars. You'll often find him with his head stuck in some machine or other, puzzling over how to get it working again.
Name: Bill Gilbert
Position: Writer, Forum Moderator
Background: Bill's experience with computers began with the purchase of an Altair 8800 back in 1975, and hasn't looked back since. A Proto-Geek, by nature, his specialty is printers, and anything about those magnificent paper-wasters. He is also well versed in general troubleshooting and most internal hardware. When not tearing down printers or systems for reviews or experiments, Bill spins Country Dance Club music at the Colorado Cafe in New Jersey (New Jersey - really?), where he's played for 15 years. His ultimate dream would be to host the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Name: Frank Kinkead
Position: Gaming Blogger
Background: Frank has been playing video games for about 25 years now, from arcade games to consoles to PC games (even some pinball). He has played just about every major console since the original Nintendo and Atari 2600. He currently plays all three of the major console gaming systems (Microsoft XBOX 360, Sony PS3, and Nintendo Wii) and from time to time even steals one of his kids Nintendo DSi systems, just to get a taste of something different.
