MSI was one of the first manufacturers to jump on the mobile Sandy
Bridge bandwagon and put out Sandy Bridge notebooks. As such, they
probably paid the most dearly when the Sandy Bridge issue was revealed,
as they had already replaced much of their lineup with Sandy Bridge
notebooks. However, that hasn't stopped MSI from being one of the first
manufacturers to roll out new notebooks based on the fixed B3 revision
of the Sandy Bridge chipset.
MSI has released a bevy of new gaming notebooks of 17.3" and 15.6" sizes. On the 17" side, there is the GT780 and GX780. They both sport quad-core Sandy Bridge processors, while the GX780 comes with a GeForce GT 555M, the GT780 uses the GTX 460M. At 15.6" GT680, GX680, GR620, and GE620, which all pack a quad-core Sandy Bridge processor as well. The GT680 and GX680 both come with the same GPU as their 7-series counterparts, respectively, and the GE620 uses a GeForce GT 540M.
In addition to this, all the laptops pack USB 3.0, an HD 720p webcam, and an SSD option.
