Twitter co-founder Evan Williams went on record saying he believes his microblogging service will make it the one billion users mark, the same goal Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg laid out for his social networking site. Can we say geek d*ck waving contest?
To be fair, Twitter isn't exactly trying to race Facebook to one billion users, nor is it necessarily going after the same users. In fact, Williams said point blank it wouldn't be the same billion peeps as Facebook. Why? According to Williams, the two social services are fundamentally different, which is true, although users are apt to post that they just had a bowel movement on either one.
